Dental Hygienist

Child getting teeth hygienically cleaned by dentist

Dental hygiene is crucial to quality tooth care. Hillcrest Dental has an Oral Health Therapist on staff to look after all your dental hygiene needs.

Our dental hygienist works with our dentists to provide:

  • examination and assessment of your gums
  • education to help you prevent dental disease, like decay and gingivitis
  • in-depth scaling and polishing to remove plaque, tartar and stains
  • tooth-whitening advice and treatments

You will continue to see your dentist for your regular examination. Depending on your situation, we may make you an appointment on the same day with our dental hygienist (we will let you know if we do, as you will need to allow a little longer for your visits) or your dentist may refer you to you our dental hygienist for your cleaning on another day. You can also make an appointment with our dental hygienist anytime you would like a clean, or to discuss whitening or mouth guards.

The benefits of seeing an Oral Health Therapist for dental hygiene are many, but the one we are most excited about is the time we can dedicate to help you maintain optimal oral hygiene.

Gum health is just as important as tooth health and we are thrilled to be able to provide you with this service.
